Every Breath You Take

Fifteen years from now, I see myself entering college, pursuing my dream of becoming a dentist. I’ll be studying at Centro Escolar University (CEU), School of Dentistry, following in the footsteps of my mom. The thought of entering this school excites me because I know it’s where I’ll learn the skills I need to become a successful dentist. I’ll meet new people, make new friends, and face new challenges that will help me grow, both personally and professionally.

I know studying to become a dentist won't be easy, but I'm ready to put in all the effort I can. I might face long nights filled with textbooks and sometimes will feel really tired, but I plan to take it one step at a time. I will listen carefully to my teachers, work together with my friends, and always remember the reason I chose this path. Every class, every exam, and every moment of practice will teach me something new, making me a little better each day. I believe that by staying focused, patient, and determined, I can overcome any challenge, and that thought fills me with hope and excitement for the future.

Once I’ve graduated and become a licensed dentist, I’ll finally be able to fulfill my dreams. I’ll work hard to help others with their oral health. But beyond that, I’ll also get to travel with my loved ones, exploring new places and making memories. Being a dentist will allow me to support my family, live a comfortable life, and enjoy the things I’ve always dreamed of.

Equality Starts Here

The theme "WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society" serves to remind us all that we all have a duty to make a world more equal and accepting. Gender equality means that no matter whether we are male or female, everyone is treated with dignity and importance relative to rights and opportunities. This is important because if we treat all equally, then we are constructing a society in which individuals feel respected and appreciated for who they are, not based on their gender.

An inclusive community is one in which nobody gets left behind. It is to welcome people regardless of gender, race, disability, and backgrounds. This is important because all of us bring something special, and when we bring everyone with us, we make a better and more harmonious community. In order for us to attain this, we should be reminded of how unfairly some are being treated and how we can help ensure that all people have the same opportunity to be successful.

As a grade 10, I think that "WE" reminds us that building a fairer and more inclusive world begins with each one of us. It's how we treat the people around us every day—being respectful, understanding, and advocating for fairness towards others. When we put in the effort to make space for everyone and fight for justice, we can bring about true change. It does not require grand gestures, merely little acts of kindness and respect that have the power to ripple out and contribute to a more hospitable world for all.
